Senior Oracle DBA
IT department, Infrastructure division
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join the IT Infrastructure team at Lietuvos bankas. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of critical database platforms, implementing and enhancing technical solutions, and contributing to the stability and continuous improvement of the information systems that support one of the country's key public institutions.
Key responsibilities:
Administer, maintain, and support Oracle and other database platforms.
Contribute to the design, development and optimization of database architecture and related solutions.
Ensure database security by managing user access, privileges and auditing mechanisms.
Design, implement and maintain database backup, recovery, replication and high availability solutions.
Participate in the implementation of new technologies and the modernization of database platforms.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation and collaborate with external vendors.
Provide expert guidance and technical consultation to other departments across the Bank.
What we expect from you:
Higher university education (Bachelor’s degree) in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in administering and maintaining Oracle database environments.
At least 3 years of experience in database performance tuning, backup, recovery, replication, and high availability (HA/DR) solutions.
Strong knowledge of Oracle Database administration, database architecture and underlying operational principles.
Experience working with Oracle Exadata.
Experience in administering Linux operating systems and working with automation or monitoring tools.
Experience in database security management, including user access control, auditing solutions and protection of sensitive data.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent presentation, communication with stakeholders and coordination skills.
Ability to communicate fluently in both written and spoken Lithuanian and English, with strong technical English proficiency.
Would be considered an advantage:
Knowledge of other database technologies such as Oracle GoldenGate, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL.
