We’re building the future of payments — the Digital Euro. As a Senior IT Developer, you’ll work alongside top experts from national banks across Europe to design and deliver secure, high-performance systems that support millions of transactions daily.

What you’ll do:
- Support the IT Lead with technical design and application architecture for the Digital Euro.
- Design and develop modern Java applications based on microservices in cloud environments.
- Build scalable, resilient solutions that handle large data volumes with low latency.
- Define, execute, and automate unit and integration tests with excellent code coverage.
- Take part in Agile team ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives.
- Contribute to system operations, ensuring stability, performance, and reliability.
- Draft clear technical documentation and update it regularly.
- Collaborate closely with operational and infrastructure teams.
- Provide support for test and production environments — investigate and resolve issues.
- Drive continuous improvement within the squad, sharing your ideas and best practices.
What we expect:
- English: C1 level (spoken & written).
- Experience:
- 4+ years as a Senior Developer or in a similar software development role.
- 2+ years designing and coding high-throughput, low-latency Java applications.
- Technical skills:
- Expertise in microservices, cloud environments, REST APIs, and MQ interfaces.
- Strong grasp of reactive and concurrent programming paradigms.
- Solid understanding of secure coding and cryptographic protocols.
- Team & Agile skills:
- Clear communication, collaborative mindset, and adaptability in dynamic Agile teams.
- Practical experience with Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Kafka, IBM MQ, distributed or event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on with Java frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux, Vert.x, Quarkus.
- Familiarity with testing, observability (e.g., JMeter, OpenTelemetry).
- Understanding of banking and payment infrastructures, including ISO20022 messages.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or secure software practices.
- Certifications in Agile methodologies (a plus).
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools.

- Fixed-term position from October 2025 to October 2029.
- A competitive gross salary (€4016 – €6024/month).
