Senior Application Developer | European Digital Euro Project
As a Senior DevOps developer, you will join a multi-national Agile squad responsible for building and maintaining the Access Gateway component – a critical part of the Digital Euro infrastructure that ensures reliable data flows and integrations between heterogeneous systems across Europe.
You’ll work side-by-side with senior engineers, architects, analysts, and business experts from Lithuania, Spain, France, Germany, and other EU countries.
Key responsibilities:
Maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to automate build, test, and deployment processes;
Configure and maintain monitoring and observability dashboards using the ELK stack (logs, metrics, tracing);
Troubleshoot integration issues, including latency, timeouts, and data inconsistencies, and coordinate fixes with relevant teams;
Design and implement automation workflows triggered by alerts (e.g., automated remediation scripts, ticket creation, email notifications) to reduce manual intervention and improve incident response time;
Design and implement integrations between heterogeneous systems using major communication protocols (REST, gRPC, Kafka, etc.);
Support System Team activities temporarily when required to ensure smooth operations and deployments;
Drive continuous improvement within the squad, sharing best practices around CI/CD, observability, and system integrations.
Requirements / Main skills:
Strong ability to quickly understand and analyze infrastructure architectures in a cloud solutions, identifying dependencies and risks;
Skilled at designing and understanding integrations between heterogeneous systems, ensuring reliable data flows using REST, gRPC, Kafka, or similar protocols;
Hands-on experience with DevOps & CI/CD: pipelines, Git-based workflows (Gitlab), automated testing, deployment strategies;
Hands-on experience deploying applications to different environments and regions in a cloud solutions;
Experience with monitoring and observability tools, particularly ELK stack;
Fluent in English, both written and spoken;
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-have skills:
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Terraform ). This is not mandatory, but would allow faster adaptation to our environment.
